The Australian Government established the Data Standards Body to deliver open standards to support the Consumer Data Right and Digital ID.
Data Standards for Consumer Data Right
The Consumer Data Right (CDR) gives consumers greater control over their data. The Data Standards for CDR set the specific baseline for implementation.
Data Standards for Digital ID
The Digital ID Act sets the framework and accreditation scheme for Digital ID services. It includes 2 Data Standards: biometrics and technologies in accredited services and technical requirements.

DSAC Repeal Instrument Registered
The Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right—Data Standards Advisory Committee) Repeal Instrument 2026 has been registered on the Federal Register of Legislation. This repeals the 2022 DSAC Instrument.
