The Australian Government established the Data Standards Body to deliver open standards to support the Consumer Data Right and Digital ID.
Data Standards for Consumer Data Right
The Consumer Data Right (CDR) gives consumers greater control over their data. The Data Standards for CDR set the specific baseline for implementation.
Data Standards for Digital ID
The Digital ID Act sets the framework and accreditation scheme for Digital ID services. It includes 2 Data Standards: biometrics and technologies in accredited services and technical requirements.

Consultation Paper 368 - Energy Switching Experiment
Consultation Paper 368 (CP368) has now been published to provide an outline of the energy switching experiment's scope and approach, along with a guide to submit a formal expression of interest (EOI).
Data Standards Info Session - 30 April 2025
The Chair and the Data Standards Body (DSB) will host a Data Standards Information Session on Wednesday 30 April, 10:00am–12:00pm. This will be a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual attendance options. The physical event will take place at Standards Australia, Sydney, with dial-in details available for remote participants.
